What does it take to have top MMA conditioning? Well if you’re just starting out, you need to start with the basics and get your strength levels up, and your aerobic fitness. While aerobic training doesn’t play a huge role in most mixed-martial artists’ routines, if you can’t jog for a mile without stopping, you’ve gotta start here. Once you develop your base levels of strength and aerobic fitness, you can progress to more advanced training methods such as power exercises, intervals, and explosive MMA circuits. If you start with the advanced training too early, you’ll never peak your conditioning and you’ll always have problems with your cardio.
