Why I Didn’t Like Avatar
There are a few reasons I didn’t like the extremely popular movie Avatar. One reason is that the charachters seemed like stereotypes and cliches as opposed to genuine. The best example of this is the Colonel, who had some of the corniest lines I have ever heard. Actually, I don’t know what I hated more, his charachter or his laughable dialogue. I am surprised that the movie has become so beloved by fans and critics alike. I just didn’t think the story was very compelling. Additionally, during the movie it felt like the film was merely trying to make a political statement instead of telling a story so it was difficult for me to get caught up in the fantasy of it all.
