Is there a treatment for onchymosis? Well there is and it is the use of laser to treat onychomycosis. This is being widely touted in the news media and in promotional clips on You Tube. A fungal infection of the toenails and the laser is new method to destroy the fungus is what we called the Onychomyocsis. The company promoting the device to do this is making a lot of claims about the efficacy of this method, but they have not yet produced the preliminary clinical trial that showed the success rate. They are funding an ongoing large multicentre trial at the moment. in spite of the unavailability of the proof the method is being broadly touted. That does not mean it does not work, it is just the evidence is not there yet.
